# Looking for something to read with your children?

It has been said that the mark of a good teacher is that he can explain deep truth to little children. William Swan Plumer was a good teacher. His book [*The Ribbon Room*](/authors/william-swan-plumer) is written for children, and speaks at such a simple level that even a 3 or 4 year old could listen attentively to what he has to say.
