Andrew Webster Archibald (April 10, 1851 – November 15, 1926) was an American pastor, writer, and religious leader who served congregations across the United States after earning his B.A. from Union College and a B.D. from Yale Divinity School, and was honored with an honorary Doctor of Divinity by Union College in 1891. He authored numerous theological and devotional works—such as The Bible Verified (1890), The Trend of the Centuries (1901), and Biblical Nature Studies (1915)—and combined scholarly interests with active pastoral service in churches from Iowa to Massachusetts and California. Archibald and his family left a lasting legacy of academic and athletic scholarship prizes at institutions including Dartmouth, Yale, Grinnell, Pomona, and Union College, reflecting his commitment to education and faith.
