Matthias Bruen was originally buried underneath the pulpit of the Bleecker-Street Presbyterian Church (later known as the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church and still later as the Broadway Presbyterian Church), New York City, New York. His body was later re-interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
