William McFaddin Alexander, D.D. (November 7, 1861 – 1944) was a prominent Presbyterian minister born in Union (Monroe County), West Virginia, who was educated for the ministry and went on to serve in influential pastoral and denominational roles within the Southern Presbyterian Church. He was long associated with significant congregations such as Prytania Street Presbyterian Church in New Orleans, where the manse he occupied is remembered as a local historical landmark, and he preached and wrote on topics ranging from missions to church polity. Alexander died in New Orleans and was buried at Metairie Cemetery, having also accumulated a comfortable fortune and left a legacy of service within the church.
