William Thomas Catto served as pastor here from 1854 to 1859.Octavius Valentine Catto (1839-1871) was the son of William Thomas Catto, and a prominent civil rights activist who was assassinated in Philadelphia.William Thomas Catto was a founding member of Philadelphia’s Banneker Institute.William Thomas Catto attended the Second Presbyterian Church in Charleston, South Carolina. It was here that he was licensed to preach the gospel by the Presbytery of Charleston in 1847.This is John Gloucester ((1776-1822). We have not yet found a picture of William Thomas Catto.
