R.B. Kuiper: The Theology of the Bible is Reformed Theology
“It is my firm conviction that the only theology in the Bible is the Reformed theology. However, I wish it understood that by the Reformed theology I mean not merely that which distinguishes it from more or less variant interpretations of Christianity, but also that which it has in common with these. For example, the Reformed theology includes the doctrine of the Trinity, that of the deity of Christ, and that of the substitutionary atonement as well as the so-called five points of Calvinism: absolute predestination, total depravity, particular atonement, irresistible grace, and the eternal security of believers. For me the Reformed faith is at once the purest and the most comprehensive of Christian theologies. It has the distinction of being based on the whole of Scripture. Its glory is that it embraces ‘all the counsel of God’ (Acts 20:27).” — R.B. Kuiper, Introduction to God-Centered Evangelism (1961)
