McLeod Campbell, Edwards and Atonement

Critique of J. McLeod Campbell’s rejection of Edwards’ penal substitution and his non-penal reconstruction of the atonement to address assurance and universal forgiveness.

Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Stivason is a gifted preacher and teacher and a compassionate shepherd and has been serving the Lord as a minister of the gospel since 1995. During that time, he has planted two churches, the most recent one being Grace RP Church, which formally constituted in January of 2010. He has a BA from Grove City College, an MDiv from Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, an STM from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and a PhD from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia). He also serves as Professor of New Testament Studies at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
