William Aikman (1824–1909) was an American Presbyterian pastor and religious writer who served congregations in Wilmington, Delaware, and later Atlantic City, New Jersey, and held leadership roles within the Presbyterian Church. Educated at the University of the City of New York and Union Theological Seminary, he received a Doctor of Divinity degree in 1869 and was active in church governance and education. Aikman authored numerous works addressing theology, family life, and social issues, including Life at Home, The Altar in the House, and The Future of the Colored Race in America.
