Thomas Bloomer Balch was an American Presbyterian minister and educator who graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary and served churches in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., while also teaching and engaging in pastoral work. He was known for his extensive writings, including letters and sermons that provided insight into 19th-century Presbyterian life and thought.
