Brief Statement of the Evidences and Uses of Divine Revelation

In this article, McLeod argues that while reason points humanity toward the existence of God, it cannot provide certainty concerning salvation or eternal life. God has therefore graciously given Scripture as a divine revelation, confirmed by historical testimony, fulfilled prophecy, its moral excellence, and its transforming power. McLeod then expounds 2 Timothy 3:16, showing that Scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction, thoroughly equipping believers to know, obey, and glorify God.
