Calvin No. II [Watchman of the South]

A 1842 Watchman editorial urging deeper, practical familiarity with the Bible over mere philology. Offers guidelines for missionary character (devotion, patience, humility) and defends infant baptism on covenantal grounds.

The second professor at Princeton Theological Seminary, Miller was a prolific writer, and diligent minster of the gospel, who was widely recognized as a leader in 19th century American Presbyterianism. Many of his works remain in print today.
