Why Covenanters Do Not Vote

A Covenanter defends abstaining from voting when the Constitution omits Christ, arguing that voting would endorse a secular government. He affirms patriotism but insists Christ rules every sphere.

Thomas Houston Acheson (1861–1925) was a Reformed Presbyterian minister, editor, and national church leader whose ministry spanned nearly four decades. Educated at Westminster College and Geneva College, with theological training at Allegheny Seminary, he served pastorates in Iowa, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, including long tenures at Hopkinton, Iowa; Denver, Colorado; and Eighth Street Church in Pittsburgh, where he later became Pastor Emeritus. Acheson was Secretary of the National Reform Association, an editor of the Christian Statesman, Moderator of Synod in 1909, and a respected public speaker and biblical scholar, receiving honorary degrees of D.D. from Geneva College and Ph.D. from Grove City College before his death in 1925.
